Wisdom of the Sickbed

Myself and Nathalie have been suffering with one minor yet irritating ailment after another for the last month. It’s not all bad news though, it has given us time to reflect and ponder. Here we present the result, a sort of Tao Te Ching for malingerers.

To Pee or Not to Pee
If you’re wondering whether you should get out of bed for a whizz or can ignore it long enough to fall asleep again, the answer is you’ll need to pee.

To Tea or Not to Tea
If you’re wondering whether you should get out of bed to make a cup of tea or stay nestled in the warm embrace of your comfy bed, the answer is you should get Nathalie to make it for you 😛

Nathalie’s Mexican Chicken Soup
Is super for blowing away the snotty cobwebs of a bad sniffle. Action-packed with healthful veg and spicy spices it kicks the ass of bold rhinoviri.

Put Your Best Foot Forward
It’s nice to stick one of your feet out from under the quilt to take the air. Excess heat can leave the body through this conduit, mantaining the patient at optimum roasting temperature. – Nathalie

To Tea or Not to Tea – Two
If you’re wondering whether you should get out of bed to make a cup of tea or stay nestled in the warm embrace of your comfy bed, the answer is you should get Eoghan to make it for you 😛

If it’s Called a Cold, Why am I Hot?
It’s possible to be too hot and to have the chills at the same time. Rolling onto an unused part of the bed where the linen is still fresh and cool is a legitimate countermeasure.
