There were so many gorgeous faces at yesterday’s Africa Day at Dublin Castle. I know, I sound like a dodgy singer-songwriter, but seriously: so many really different, really gorgeous-to-photograph faces, all of them very open and comfortable in front of the camera. Granted, I was using my 70-300mm zoom for some shots! But I genuinely think the laid back, open atmosphere had a lot to do with it.
It was a really fun, friendly day and a really nice idea. A great venue too, albeit a bit small. I think even the organisers were taken by surprise by the big turnout.
The little girls below were with a group of women (including the lady up top) standing behind us, they were all in tradition dress (Nigerian, I think) and giving it socks on the dancing front.

Hey, when was the last time you blew bubbles?

Kila’s energetic and incredibly expressive frontman, Rónán Ó Snodaig:

Spotted these two in the crowd, propped up on shoulders.
